India the largest democracy in the world would be celebrating it's 68th independence day.

For the first time general public has been invited to participate in the event!  It has been expected that more than 10,000 people are expected to attend the occasion.

Caution: The visitors, however, will not be allowed to carry mobile phones, cameras, handbags, Cigarette lighters, water bottles, lunch boxes, etc.,to the venue and would be undergoing to heavy security checks.

#DidYouKnow: DTC buses would provide free service from 6 am to 10 am this Independence day throughout the National Capital. Great News indeed!

Week-long Independence Day Celebrations are organized by Delhi Municipal Corporation. Some of the special attractions would be the light and sound show at Central park, Connaught Place which boasts of hoisting India's Largest Tri-Color Flag.


Delhi Govt. to commemorate the 68th Independence day of India has decided to organize Raahgiri Day at Chandni Chowk. That would mean that all the traffic chaos will be missing on 15th of August, so that the pedestrian could freely explore the shopping and food markets for which this place is famous for.

 In addition, Delhi Metro is also commemorating Independence day with a week long celebration, All the premises will be decorated with the Tri-Color banners to invoke the spirit on Independence Day among the commuters. Organizing quizes, programmes, short films .
