Delhi's Holi Herbal Gulal Shops and their Truth
It has grown into a Slang over the previous years and the
"herbal" mark is distinctly shown on most packets of Holi colours
being sold across the city. But the only difference between the so
called eco-friendly variety and ordinary gulaal seems to be in their
smell. "Herbal gulaal is perfumed. That is the only difference we are
aware of" is what the wholesalers at Sadar Bazaar told. With Holi round the corner, the markets are a profusion of colour, dotted with piles and piles of red, yellow and green. But few buyers are aware that the colours, which manufacturers claim are 100% natural and environment-friendly, can cause serious skin problems. Make it with peels of red pomegranate bolied in water or crushed dry red rose petals
Yellow
Make it with crushed dry marigold flower petals or turmeric and besan powder mixed in water
Green
Fine paste of mint, spinach and leaves or dey mehandi powder
Magneta
Make it with beetroot grated and soaked in water or peeled onions soaked in water
Blue
Berries of Indigo plant or crushed dry jacranda flowers

- Artificial/chemical colurs are toxic in nature and they can cause cancer, with irritation and blindness

To leave you Speechless in the month of March- Festival of Photography in the public space titled, Fete de la Photo 2014, is organised
in New Delhi in collaboration with the Alliance Franchise network, NDMC, the Delhi
Metro Rail Corporation, the Delhi International Airport , the National
Museum and the Arechaeological Survey of India.To Mesmerize you beyond imagination, Over twenty Magnificent Indian and French photographers are participating in the non-commercial platform and will exhibit their works in public spaces like gardens, metros, on buildings, in archaeological sites, on walls, in subways and more.
When and Where?
In Delhi , the main component of the festival will transpire in Central Delhi from 5-31 Mar 2014.
Inauguration: 4th March at 6:30 pm at NDMC Convention
Delhi Tourism's Hop On Hop Off (HOHO) Bus Service is also associated with this MEGA Photography Festival. Over 20 Photographers from France and India will be touring all the designated places, to mark the inauguration of this mega photography festival.
